A Kilimani kitchen that grew into two cities.
Treat O'Clock began as weekend baking for neighbours in Nairobi's Kilimani estate. Six years and thousands of cakes later, we bake daily for Nairobi and Nakuru — still from scratch, still by hand.
Baking for the neighbourhood, then the city
Founder Naomi started baking birthday cakes for her children's classmates in 2019, using her mother's recipes and a single home oven. Word moved fast on WhatsApp groups across Kilimani and Lavington, and by 2021 Treat O'Clock had outgrown the kitchen and moved into a small bakery unit.
Today a team of five bakers and decorators fill orders across Nairobi, with a Nakuru drop-off point serving the Rift Valley. The recipes haven't changed — we still bake in small batches, ice by hand, and taste every sponge before it leaves the kitchen.
What we won't compromise on
Real ingredients
Real butter, fresh eggs from Kiambu suppliers, and no artificial cake mixes — ever.
On-time delivery
A cake that arrives late has already failed. We build in buffer time for Nairobi traffic.
Honest quotes
The price we quote on WhatsApp is the price you pay — no surprise add-ons at delivery.
